Amy + Nathan were married on a chilly and windy, but beautiful day in October at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. The fact that they’re LOCALS getting married at the Biltmore is what makes this a rarity and extra special.   ;)  A small, intimate wedding on the well manicured lawn of the Biltmore while facing long range mountain views – does it get any better?

Amy and I went to high school together (we even graduated only one year apart) but didn’t know one another until we met for the first time over coffee to chat about photography. After getting to know her and her down to earth personality, I know for sure I was completely missing out back then.   :)

Let me preface by saying, compiling this post was HARD. It also took me longer to compose than I care to admit.  ;)  I tried to narrow it down to only one or two images from each session/wedding, but there are a few where everything just came together so perfectly that I couldn’t resist adding in one or two more.  :)

As many of you know, I started this business in late 2009, and as I look back on all of my work as a whole, I realize that 2012 was by far the year of most growth for me. In so many areas I feel my photography has drastically matured and yet in the same instance, there is so much more I still want to learn. Creating this post has been just as much exciting as it has been humbling.

With that said, here is this past year represented in 100 images. 2012, you have been oh so very good to me. To all of my 2012 clients, thank you for a fantastic year! ♥

Bria + Eric. What sweet, special people. Have you ever befriended two individuals and just known from the moment you met them that they were made for one another? Sounds so unbelievably cheesy, I know. But if there were ever a picture perfect couple, that was just 100% in sync with one another on all physical, mental, and spiritual levels, it’s Bria and Eric. This will be undeniably evident once you start viewing the images below.

And the best part about them. They grew up together and first laid their young eyes on one another at the age of six. At 15, they started dating… and have been together ever since.

Who doesn’t love a story like that?!

All my love to you both, Bria + Eric. I admire the two of you so much and I hope we stay in touch a very long, long time.
